The Prescription Medication
I read this article questioning whether prescription medication is good or bad for you. It is quite interesting and I will share a brief insight with you.
Our 21st century lifestyle has somehow attributed to a new generation of health problems for people that falls within a much younger demographic. The decline in active lifestyle, prolonged sedentary lifestyle, car-friendly transportation, instead of healthy food people went with "convenience" and chose the highly processed food, high fat diet. One of the health problems is high cholesterol level which can lead to coronary heart disease and death.
To control the situation, most people are being prescriped medications for the following :
Statins for reducing cholesterol, Angiotensin II for lowering blood pressure, and Proton pump inhibitors for reducing stomach acid of which all three can cause side effects far worst than the problems that are aimed to treat. And the symptoms caused by one drug may necessitate the use of the others.
How do we want to live our lives is really up to ourselves. Work with yourselves and engage in a heart healthy program. Three simple steps: Plan your healthy meals, daily exercise that will get your heart pumping, Bring a smile to someone everyday!
